Sloan Byerly
Sloan joined Eric Wright & Associates as an Associate in September of 2022. With almost ten years of legislative experience, Mr. Byerly provides clients with a unique insight on the lawmaking process.
Known for his relationships with peers on both sides of the political aisle, Sloan has a proven record of successfully guiding policy proposals through the legislative process. His areas of work have focused on economic development, natural resources, public safety, higher education, health and human services, and the Sunset Advisory Commission.
Before joining Eric Wright & Associates, Sloan served as Chief of Staff to State Representative Travis Clardy for four years and over the span of two regular legislative sessions and three special sessions, managing the Capitol and district staff, leading legislative agendas, and managing office communications. Sloan previously served as Legislative Director to Representative Lynn Stucky and led his successful re-election campaign. Early in his career, he worked in the House Committee on Natural Resources for Chairman Jim Keffer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from The University of Texas at Austin.
