Courtney Williamson
Courtney brings nearly three decades of experience serving the State of Texas and advancing public policy initiatives across complex regulatory and legislative environments. She joined Congress Avenue Partners in 2017 as Legislative Director, where she partners closely with clients to develop and execute effective strategies before the Texas Legislature, state leadership, and regulatory agencies.
Courtney’s expertise spans a wide range of policy areas, including health and human services, information technology, workforce development, education, and behavioral health. She is recognized for her deep understanding of the legislative process and her ability to navigate state government with precision and strategic insight.
Prior to joining Congress Avenue Partners, Courtney held key roles in both the legislative and executive branches of Texas government. Most notably, she served for several years at the Texas Workforce Commission as Director of Governmental Relations, where she worked closely with members of the Texas House and Senate on bipartisan initiatives, agency appropriations, and legislative priorities.
Known for her responsiveness, attention to detail, and solutions-oriented approach, Courtney is skilled at balancing big-picture strategy with the practical realities of policymaking. She has built a reputation for working effectively across the aisle and delivering results for clients in dynamic and often complex policy environments.
Courtney holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Edward’s University.
